Unguka Muhinzi means” Benefits for the Farmers” is a Coffee Company grows coffee in Kirehe district of the Eastern Province of the land known to be one of a “thousand hills”. The company was created 2004 by Coffee farmer called “IYAKAREMYE Jeremie”. Since 2011, the company that grows coffee on, and by 2018 we have 3 washing stations such as Gahara, Coakaki and Nyarushunzi washing station with 1970. Unguka Muhinzi coffee Company has been working directly with small-scale farmers in their cooperatives, mainly Cooperative COAKAKI, to source high quality green specialty coffee.
Our vision is to increase coffee production, to upgrade the quality of the coffee produced in the district, improve the livelihood of coffee farmers through providing market for their produce and jobs for residents.
